Terms and Conditions

Holiday rental — Chalet Les Pervenches, Le Ménil

Note: For bookings made through the Clé Vacances platform, that platform's terms apply. These terms govern only bookings made directly with the owner. This English version is provided for information only; the French version prevails in law.

1. Parties

The landlord: Nathalie COLLE, owner of Chalet Les Pervenches, 8 Rue des Lieux Romains, 88160 Le Ménil, France.

The tenant: any adult individual making a direct booking with the landlord.

2. Purpose

These terms govern the holiday rental of the chalet "Les Pervenches", located at 8 Rue des Lieux Romains, 88160 Le Ménil, with a maximum capacity of 6 guests.

3. Booking and confirmation

A booking is considered firm and final once:

  • the rental agreement has been received and signed by both parties;
  • a deposit of 30% of the total stay has been paid;
  • the landlord has confirmed in writing.

4. Rates and payment

Rates are available on request or on the Clé Vacances page. They include:

  • end-of-stay cleaning;
  • bed and bath linen;
  • utilities (water, electricity within the agreed allowance, heating, firewood);
  • WiFi.

Accepted payment methods: cheque, cash, holiday vouchers, bank transfer.

The balance is due 30 days before arrival.

5. Security deposit

A security deposit of €350 is required on arrival (cheque or cash). It is returned within 7 days of departure, less any damage noted during the check-out inspection.

6. Cancellation by the tenant

  • More than 60 days before arrival: the deposit is refunded in full.
  • Between 30 and 60 days: 50% of the deposit is refunded.
  • Less than 30 days: no refund.

Any cancellation must be notified in writing (email or registered post). Taking out cancellation insurance is recommended.

7. Cancellation by the landlord

If the landlord cancels (force majeure), the tenant is refunded in full for all sums paid.

8. Arrival and departure

  • Check-in: from 4:00 pm.
  • Check-out: before 10:00 am.

A joint inventory and condition check is carried out on arrival and departure.

9. Occupancy and house rules

  • The chalet is let for temporary residential use only.
  • Maximum capacity is 6 guests. Additional guests are not permitted without prior agreement.
  • Pets are welcome, limited to one animal under 15 kg (dogs excluding category 1 and 2 breeds, cats).
  • Smoking is not permitted inside the chalet.
  • The tenant undertakes to leave the property in good condition and to respect the neighbours.

10. Liability

The tenant is liable for any damage caused to the chalet and its furnishings during the stay. The landlord accepts no liability for theft, loss or accident affecting the tenant or their belongings during the stay.

11. Disputes

In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. Failing that, the competent French courts will be seised. French law applies.
